What to do after exploring the Trail
In the vicinity of the Tree Top Trail, you can find more places that will make for an interesting trip. The so-called „Černá hora Express“ in Janské lázně is a cable car that will take you on the top of Černá hora, from which you can make a hike through the Černá hora peat bogs all the way to Pec pod Sněžkou.
If you’re not a fan of hiking, you can try some of the treatments right in the Jasnké lázně, which is a world-renowned spa. It offers treatment and relax programs for all generations.
Attractions in the area
From the mountain town of Pec pod Sněžkou, you can easily reach the highest mountain of the Czech Republic, Sněžka, by cable car. Four-seat closed cars start from the Pec pod Sněžkou station (829 m above sea level), pass through the Růžová hora station (1339 m a.s.l.) and end at the Sněžka station (1588 m. a.s.l.). The ride, which will provide you with a breathtaking view of the Krkonoše forests, lasts 5 min. 49 sec. to Růžová hora and then 8 min. 24 sec. to Sněžka.
Dvůr Králové ZOO boasts a unique African and lion safari. At the same time, it offers rich expositions of a large number of animal species, animal experiences, workshops, lectures, but also sporting activities such as geocaching or fun in a rope adventure park.
The largest rock city of Central Europe offers a fascinating spectacle of beautiful sandstone formations. A number of hiking and climbing trails are built there for visitors. Tourists going on foot follow the Metuje River, which springs from the Broumov Mountains.
Relaxpark Pec offers a number of attractions especially for the summer months. Adults and children over two years old can ride a 900m long bobsled track or visit the Lemuria – an arena with monkey bars, slides, trampolines and an inflatable castle. Older children and adults can enjoy the FLY pulley, designed to offer an exciting ride 15 meters above the ground.
Join your visit to the Tree Top Trail with a scooter ride from the mountain Černá hora and have even more fun during a single day. You can get on the top of Černá hora by a cable car from the central car park in Janské Lázně. You can rent a scooter at the Ski Resort LIVE rental in the cable car station down in Janské Lázně or you can rent a kick scooter at the station up on Černá hora. There is an 8-kilometer downhill ride along the Černá hora Road, where you can enjoy both beautiful views and adrenaline. You can return your scooter at the SkiResort LIVE rental in the parking lot at the Tree Top Trail. After exploring the Trail, take a pleasant stroll to the central car park or use the shuttle bus service. Besides scooters, SkiResort LIVE also offers the excellent Scott electric mountain bikes, which will effortlessly take you to the most beautiful places in Krkonoše. You can get on the mountain ridges by one of the three cable cars of the SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA - PEC in Janské Lazně, Pec pod Sněžkou and Velká Úpa.

A pleasant four-kilometer trail through forest paths in the middle of a real wilderness, just 20 minutes from the top station of the Černá hora cable car. Černá hora’s peat bogs have never been used by people trying to mine the peat from them. It is one of the very few places in Central Europe where you can still see real wildlife. Information panels will show you how the peat bog moves, who it kills and who kills it in return. The trail runs on plank walkways and is not barrier-free.
The Mirakulum Park in Milovice in Central Bohemia offers 10 hectares of original entertainment and leisure activities with a number of imaginative play features. You will find here Forest City and contact zoo, giant trampolines and swings, rope centers, underground corridors, jungle gym, Water World and last but not least, the narrow-gauge railway that connects the park with the neighboring Tankodrome.
